Advanced Vocal Program

Singers who are more seasoned hobbyists typically have a greater understanding of how their voice works, and require less detailed feedback. Advanced singers often have a better understanding of their own particular needs and, as a result, will have more involvement in guiding the direction of their voice training.

Singers at this level should prioritize maintaining their skills and ensuring proper voice technique to help with the longevity and strength of their voice during performances, tours and long recording sessions. Taking care of one’s voice is important, not only for working musicians, but for anyone whose job involves a lot of speaking. Our advanced program teaches clients how to maintain their overall voice health throughout the course of their career.

Whether you are working towards becoming a professional musician or recording artist, participating in community theatre or local competitions, or have dreamt of getting up on stage to perform at open mics or karaoke nights, we can help you hone your skills and take your singing to the next level. At Registers Music, we work with a variety of industry professionals, from touring musicians to stage and film actors, as well as YouTubers and Twitch Streamers. Our training is based on decades of experience in the music industry.

Very few people achieve their goals entirely on their own. It’s with the help of a team of people who truly understand your vision and your sound that any singer is able to live up to their desired potential.

Build confidence in your singing

Singers often describe the following scenario: When singing along to their favourite songs at home, they sound pitch-perfect, they’re able to hit all the high notes, and they can envision performing for packed stadiums. However, when attempting to sing in front of other people, they notice cracks and flaws in their voice that weren’t present when they were singing alone at home. So where is the disconnect? And why can’t they sing the same way in front of other people?

If you love to perform, but find that your voice doesn’t quite meet your expectations when you’re singing in front of an audience, your insecurities could be holding you back from sounding your best. Our advanced program will provide you with the tools and training you need to build more confidence in your singing abilities. We help singers: achieve the ideal sound to match their desired style; improve the consistency of their voice using control techniques; and relieve anxiety around performing using confidence-building exercises adopted from the world of improv comedy.

The importance of singing health

As your singing career advances, it becomes increasingly important to focus on vocal health and longevity. It is one thing to practise and flawlessly perform a single song, but singing full sets and performing day after day on tour requires a different level of vocal endurance. Having a properly trained voice will help you meet these demands and avoid injury.

Singers who sustain a vocal injury from singing tend to get a bad rap. They’re often labeled as amateur or accused of using bad technique, when that is not always the case. Consider the fact that athletes can sustain muscle strain injuries caused by overuse or repetitive motion. This is also true for singers. The voice can be injured through overuse, causing vocal strain. It is important to understand how to take care of your voice to ensure that it always functions at it’s best.
