Define your unique artist identity
Performance Skills
At this level, a large amount of focus is dedicated to expanding an artist’s sound stylistically, through advanced voice training techniques and creative song-writing exercises. Singers will spend their time honing their style, incorporating various influences and genres, and experimenting with vocal effects and sounds in order to unlock their unique voice.
In our performance skills program, we go beyond the technical aspects of voice training, guiding you through the self-discovery process as we delve into what makes you who you are as a singer and performer, your inspirations, goals, and overall artistic vision. We help you to unify your sound and artist identity in order to stand out among the crowd.
All of these skills are then combined and applied towards improving stage presence, audience engagement, and memorable live performances. We are passionate about helping you craft your artist identity and define your brand.
Developing your style
Finding your own unique sound as a singer is a fundamental step in crafting your artist identity. It can be a driving force in determining your creative vision and direction, and propel your career forward by giving you the confidence you need to present yourself to the world. But how does one go about discovering their own sound and keep from sounding like everyone else?
In our performance program, we start by analyzing your past influences, what it is about these artists and songs that inspires you, and what draws you to them. Next, you will learn how to incorporate these influences into your own original, unique singing voice. We will help you find, but also appreciate, what makes your voice unique and help you showcase it to the world.
Improve your stage presence
A well-trained voice is only one aspect of a memorable singing performance. Stage presence can truly make or break a singer’s connection with their audience, even if the singer’s voice is on point. In our performance skills program, we will discuss what makes a captivating performance, and combine your influences with your personality and style to make your performance engaging, dynamic, and most importantly, give it a quality that is uniquely you.
Gig warm-up sessions
It’s every singer’s nightmare: You wake up the morning of a gig to find that your voice feels fatigued and sounds raspy. A number of factors could be causing this to occur. Perhaps, you’ve been on the road and conditions are not necessarily ideal, some of your routines may be off, you may be suffering from lack of sleep or using your voice too much. Oftentimes, we don’t think about the importance of regular warm-ups until we experience an issue with our voice, but warm-ups should be included as part of our regular vocal health maintenance.
Busy tour schedules can make it difficult to find time for gig warm-ups, but our flexible, online sessions make it convenient to warm up before each gig and keep your voice performing at its best. Let us take the guess work out of warm-ups by providing you with an efficient, effective warm-up routine. Having regularly scheduled lessons will support you in staying dedicated to your warm-ups until they become second nature. We will help ensure that your fans get the same quality of performance, whether it’s day one or day 50 of the tour.
Studio sessions
Whether it’s your first time in the recording studio or you are going in to record your next album, every recording artist aims to come out feeling proud of their music. The success of your recording sessions is dependent on your voice health and longevity. Recording can be a grueling process - the long hours, multiple takes, and the need to experiment with different techniques and sounds can be demanding and requires a well-trained voice.
Our studio session package will supply you with a vocal coach, either in-person or online, to help you warm up before you record, as well as provide support and instruction during the difficult takes to ensure you get your best sound for your recording.
